CLP Pulse is a heritage revitalisation project housed within the Grade 1‑listed CLP Clock Tower, originally completed in 1940 and formerly serving as CLP’s Head Office. Located at 147 Argyle Street, Ho Man Tin, the historic building has been adaptively reused and transformed into a culture and heritage museum, reinforcing its longstanding connection with the Hong Kong community.

Under a conservation‑led development approach, the Clock Tower Building at the eastern portion of the site has been carefully preserved and upgraded to accommodate museum use, while meeting contemporary requirements for safety, accessibility, and building performance. The project integrates modern building services systems sensitively within the historic fabric to support exhibition spaces, multimedia galleries, and public facilities.

CLP Pulse showcases permanent exhibitions exploring Hong Kong’s electricity development, the Kadoorie family’s legacy, and intangible cultural heritage, while promoting decarbonisation and sustainable development through immersive and educational experiences. The project exemplifies how engineering coordination and adaptive reuse strategies can extend the life of historic structures while enabling meaningful public engagement.
